Moving on

Today I begin my new life in Cheltenham.

I’ve packed my boxes, given back my university card and key, and sneaked out of the department (avoiding being ill at ease, at the centre of attention, at any sort of farewell ‘do’) to drive to the other side of the Cotswold’s. I start my new job on Monday, and can’t wait for the new chapter of my life to begin. Behind me, in Oxford, are many friends and acquaintances, but also an ex-husband and some bad memories.

I have high hopes of the Cheltenham Chapter – so I’ll keep you posted!
